hellerwork structural integration
This is a practice of bringing your skeleton back into alignment with gravity with a series of 11 sessions. How we do this is by assessing the body and the way the body moves in motion. Each session is made up of 3 components:
Myofascial Release
By using myofascial techniques the connective tissue (fascia) becomes fluid and free. When we loosen up the fascia it frees up the bones and allows the body to unwind.
Somatic Dialogue
Somatic dialogue is a tool for us to understand how our thought patterns affect our physical patterns. We carry the tensions of unexpressed emotions in our body.
Movement Re-education
Relearning movement patterns teaches us how to use our bodies in a more effective way. It also teaches us how to feel and understand the ways we get in and out of our patterns.
Hellerwork is for those who want to realign their bodies and are open to finding the connection to body, mind and soul.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Myofascial Release is a technique that focuses on freeing up tension in the connective tissue. It is a practice of pinpointing where the tissue is bound up at and working slow and with as much pressure that is needed to invite the tissue to let go. This does not mean using a lot of pressure.
VIBRATIONAL SOUND MASSAGE
VSM is used with Tibetan singing bowls. The technique is to place the bowls on the body in a strategic way and to gong the bowls for the vibration and the sound. This practice is for relaxation. It brings all things vibrating to the same frequency.
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a technique that uses pressure to different points on the feet. Each point on the foot is connected to a different organ and body part. When we think of reflexology we think of covering the body as a whole, while only working the feet.
CUPPING
Cupping is a Chinese technique that uses a cup to suction up the tissue. This creates the blood to flow, relieving the stagnation that pools in the tissue. In Chinese medicine, stagnation is know to cause illnesses. Cupping is also good for relieving musculoskeletal pain.
GUA SHA
Gua Sha is a technique that uses a tool to scrap the area of lubricated skin. This helps to break up congestion in the tissue and promotes better circulation to the area. It is also known to support the immune system and to break up congestion in the lungs.
